We’re developing a different kind of wash-day ritual: scalp-first formulas, salon-performance ambition and a tropical experience you’ll want to come back to.

Tropical Addiction began with a father’s extraordinary talent behind the chair, and a family’s experience with addiction beyond it.
John “Mark” Reppucci was a Boston-area precision stylist and salon owner whose clients traveled for his craft. His story inspired a brand that celebrates the artistry of hair while making room for a more honest conversation about recovery.
My dad, John “Mark” Reppucci, was a precision stylist with an extraordinary gift. He owned and operated Fashion on the Ocean, The Gatsby, and most recently The Hair Cutting Company on Boston’s North Shore. Clients traveled for his work, and I grew up understanding how much confidence a great haircut could give someone.
He also struggled with addiction. As a family, we experienced the distance between the talented professional people saw and the challenges we lived with at home.
Tropical Addiction carries both parts of that story: respect for his craft and a commitment to helping others find a different path. Tropical is the experience. Recovery is the reason behind our purpose.
